Pucks

Felt Slider Puck
Felt Puck

Our rules require a felt puck. If deemed necessary by either team or officials a strip of orange or red tape may be crisscrossed around the top and bottom of the puck.

The MSHSL has purchased several hundred felt pucks from 360 Athletics to sell to adapted floor hockey teams. Please have your athletic director contact the adapted floor hockey director at the MSHSL to make arrangements.

Notice: Felt slider pucks that have vinyl or leather wrapping around the outside, such as the Gopher Sport FeltSlider brand are not allowed for safety reasons. If a home team only has these pucks, the referees shall ask the visiting team to use one of theirs.

Portable Boundaries / Borders

The majority of our teams use vinyl covered foam borders as playing area boundaries for adapted floor hockey and adapted soccer. These borders help keep the puck in-play on the sidelines, benches and fan seating areas. While these are costly, they often last 15+ years and provide a safe defined playing area for our sports. While there are complete rink systems available to purchase, you can have them measured to fit your gymnasium and customize your bench border opening areas.
